The Midnight Loneliness of the Sunflower,
released March 16, 2015
when I am 41
I hope to die in peace...
I am not familiar with your language
So I will talk with my eyes
The moon hangs crooked above
And the night rocks back on its heels
The virgin plays chess with the devil
Nine maple trees sway in the wind
Don't ever accept two hours
When three hours will do
I am obsessed with pelicans
There, look over there
It looks like a pelican, doesn't it?
Don't come near me
The brewer's wife weeps by the harbor
It's a nice night for a still life
Each minute is a full year
Tomorrow the sunflower will be forgotten
